Articles Canada Expropriation Appraisal Guidelines |
|
Public Works and Government Services Canada ("PWGSC") provides real estate services to the Government of Canada. The PWGSC Appraisal & Valuation Services department has prepared a number of appraisal guidelines intended to establish consistency and minimum standards in appraisal reports prepared for government use. These guidelines have been made public and may be accessed from the Appraisal Guidelines page on the PWGSC website. Copies of the guidelines which pertain specifically to expropriation, dated April 1998 but apparently still current as of April 2007, have been captured and save by ExLaw to ensure they remain available for study. These copies may be viewed by clicking on a link below. The report is available in both English and French.
The reports are saved in "pdf" format which requires Adobe Acrobat Reader software to view. If you do not have this software installed you can download a free copy from the Adobe website.
