Decision: |
Application by the Claimant to the Alberta Land Compensation Board for determination of compensation pursuant to the Expropriation Act, R.S.A. 1980, c. E-16. Full taking of a quarter section of land located near Springbank, three kilometres west of the Calgary city limits. The land was located within a proposed Transportation and Utility Corridor surrounding the City of Calgary. The Claimant sought $5,085,000 for market value of the land taken. The Authority was of the opinion that the market value was $2,970,000. The land was in use for agricultural purposes as zoned at the date of taking.
